Military Art Program Australia

MAPA provides an arts experience program for current and former serving veterans in a wide range of visual arts that include:

​

• Photography

• Painting - pastels, oils, acrylic, watercolour, (incl en plein air)

• Drawing - pencil, charcoal, pastel, life drawing

• Woodburning

• Journaling

• Creative Writing

• Bookbinding

• Printmaking 

• Sculpture

 

The classes are conducted by professional and emerging artists from Western Australia and interstate and also include veteran teaching artists.  Our program is unique as our artists gift their time to give back to our veteran community.

Classes have been free for current and former serving ADF members since we commenced our arts program in 2015, and while we continue to support veterans with free classes and artists who volunteer their time, from 2023 we may charge fees to assist to cover the cost of materials and models. 

 

Our class codes that include 'F' indicate where there is a fee required and payment can be made on the day of class by EFTPOS.
